It wasn’t easy-they had lived in the house for 36 years and they liked it, just the way it was. Referred by their Realtor who just could not seem to get through with them, these White Plains clients weren’t easy.
They wanted to move on and they wanted top dollar, but the dated carpeting and flooring had to come up and the dark wall paneling had to come down- to appeal to today’s buyers. And what stood between them and doing these necessary updates? A Steinway Baby Grand – OMG, the DUST! THE MESS!
They hired Fresh Eyes to take the stress out of the process. My trusty mover wrapped the piano, moving it out of the house and onto a truck, safe and sound while the work was being done. We planned, we packed, we removed the paneling and ripped up the carpeting. Beautiful hardwood flooring, their “hidden asset” was exposed, updating the house immediately. And, removing the paneling from a feature wall, allowed the fireplace to come forward as a fabulous focal point. Oh, it’s so important to have great resources!
The house went on the market on a Thursday and had multiple offers by the following Tuesday. Voila! They were skipping and smiling all the way to the bank!
Great story! So glad it worked out for them and for you!
You are a great resource who also uncovered and implemented great resources for the benefit of your client.
Wow, Joanna, what a transformation. You did a super job. What a difference!
