Sometimes I surprise myself and take a really good photo. It’s not that tough to take a great shot when you travel to exotic places – and this Bangkok bloom is a perfect example of that. In fact, creating a collection of photos from your travels is a wonderful and relatively inexpensive way to decorate your home. While the photos may be from across the globe, the frames that you select can unify your close-ups, your longshots, people, places and things. And the frames need not be the same for each photo. They just need to relate.
And while you might be able to do this yourself, a fresh eye may be useful in making sure that your wall arrangement really hangs together and makes an artistic statement that will engage your guests in great conversation and continue to delight you for years to come. Just a thought…
I think your idea of taking photos to put up on the walls of your home is absolutely the most clever decorating idea imagineable! For example, in the family roon that you had redone so beautifully for me, we still need to hang things on some of the walls. This summer when Ron and I go travelling, I will keep this tip in mind and take pictures of beautiful things I see that are color coordinated with that room. Thanks for the great idea!
